Makintouch is a cutting edge musical activity lab which makes its members and audience become one participation unit on each of its presentations which are carefully prepared with a recipe that combines several elements both studio work and stage production and aesthetic factors and live experimentation achieving a presentation of unique characteristics.

The trends involved and presented are evidently related and influenced by the contemporary urban culture in a capital city as Bogota, alternating the musical concept of the proposal that covers genres such as Electro, Nu electro, electronic Rock, Hip hop fusions, Disco and Indie with the glamour and retro wave they held. All of these eventualities have different ingredients which have as a result a main dish space opened towards the possibility of experimenting something different, achieving the goal of satisfying the eager for listening, seeing and enjoying Makintouch’s live performance under a whole concept and in the best way where anybody would do and undo with the energy and joy that each of their Dj Sets provides.

Makintouch DJ Set

Originated on the first new wave parties that were hotly held in the city in 2005. From a simple clash of Disco-players measuring their auditive and tactile skills, a Duo Versus rises from several fusions by using all kinds of digital devices in order to drag the audience towards their own taste. Few are the times they agree on choosing the records for the show, but with each record they offer a unique Party concept and an option to interpret it, and by these means give a new aesthetic to what a dj set means.

Makintouch Smash Live

A presentation of Disc Jockeys performing a live act of remixes, experiments and smashups, a guest performer (El Sin Sentido’s guitar player Giorgio Badalacchi) automatically blended with the rhythm exposed by the Dj’s during the gig and, as an additional guest, Sound Engineer Ernesto Santos (musician and producer of the most important Colombian artists’ records) doing the engineering and field work of the presentation and sometimes becoming an active participant of it by using electronic drums to complement the Live Smash.
